I love you.”  That one little statement can mean so much.  If you ask most people, they’ll likely tell you that it stands as a sign of true long-term devotion and that men are much more hesitant to say it.

Through multiple studies in which they collected data from actual couples, the researchers found that although most people believe women are more likely to say “I love you” first, it’s actually men who confess these feelings first (by a 2:1 ratio).  Why?

Most likely, it’s because men do not want to miss any opportunity to move the relationship to the next level. “shocking, I know” shoked

The truth is, researchers found:  after the onset of sexual activity in a relationship, men reported much less happiness at being told “I love you” by their partners than women did.

Why buy the cow, If you get the milk for free?

This analogy, does not just apply to sex, but it encompasses the wonderful process of dating which leads to marraige; and you can’t put the horse before the cart.

In fact, in Psychology Today, when researchers asked their participants how honest they felt about expressions of love, a fascinating pattern emerged.

Women, believed expressing feelings, to be more honest post-sex than pre-sex.

Men, however, viewed saying the words “I Love You” as more honest pre-sex.

With this determination, it seems, that men and women may have different senses of what “I love you” actually means.

If your a man: You hear it as “Let’s take it to the next level”.boy girl

If you’re a woman:  You hear “I’m in it for the long haul”. long

As you can see, this can create alot of confusion for both parties involved. Although, the intention may be the same, the path taken is felt to be expressed differently.

In the man’s heart, he feel’s that he is willing to explore the potential of going through the various stages to have this wonderful relationship. On the other hand the woman has already checked all boxes on her list checklist and she is ready and committed to the end goal.

steps

So, how do you avoid this dreadful miscommunication and stay on a good path.

Simple, Let him take the lead !!!

lead

If this is the man you are really destined to me with, you need to religuish control and he’ll get you to the destination where you want to be.  This is what is scientifcally called the “push and pull theory“. Ultimately, the more you push, the longer it will take and the further he will pull away. However, if you walk though the process with him, he’ll love you all the more, and you will be right where you want to be.

As I have told you many times before, don’t stress, continue to work on yourself in the meantime and be the best you, that you can be.
